Responsible love is the ability to effectively respond to love. Our problem as Christians is that we don't know how to respond to God's love. We see that in Genesis. God creates Adam and Eve. God expresses enourmous love to them in the following ways:
He creates them
He provides for them
He stays with them
God is giving to Adam and Eve. He keeps giving. He gives a garden (2:8). He gives Adam purpose (2:15). God gives Adam a helper - a soul mate (2:21). God gives creatively for Adam to enjoy (2:15-18). The animals and the garden were part of God's creativity.
So God is giving. God shows that He is responding responsibly in love to His creation by giving. What was the result of this responsible love? Adam and Eve shared no shame. When God provides for what we need, there is no shame.
