“And to you and your future offspring I will give the land where you are residing—all the land of Canaan—as an eternal possession, and I will be their God.””

God says to Abram (who is now called Abraham) that He will give to him and his future offspring the land where they are living. He includes all the land of Canaan, as an eternal possession. Although some scholars believe that the Israelites were part of the Canaanites, it is clear that the Israelites have an original claim to the land, unlike the Palestinians.
